The teenage left-sided player moved to Pittodrie on loan on deadline day and will provide depth to Glass’ squad for the remainder of the season.
Glass feels that the addition of Montgomery will give additional flexibility to his squad given the player’s ability to perform multiple roles on the pitch.
“We’re pleased Adam has opted to join us at Pittodrie for the rest of the season”, the manager told his club’s official website.
“His arrival will provide some added flexibility to the squad as he can play in a number of positions.
“He is a player with great potential and someone who we feel will add value to the squad for the second half of the campaign.”
Aberdeen have found success with Celtic players before, one of such case being that of Christie. Over the course of his season-long stay back in 2017, Christie made 33 goal contributions for the side.
And Glass is hoping that Montgomery can enjoy equal success during his time at Pittodrie.
“The Club has previously enjoyed success with the loan of Ryan Christie from Celtic and we’re confident this move will be as successful.”
Since his debut for the first-team in 2019 Montgomery has featured in 20 games for the Bhoys and represented the team in the Champions League qualifiers.
