Rangers bounced back from their loss against Celtic last week with a 5-0 thrashing of Hearts on Sunday.

The Gers are now gearing up to host Hibernian at Ibrox on Wednesday, as they look for another win to keep the pressure on league on leaders Celtic.

Shaun Maloney’s side are going through a rough patch of form at the moment and ex-Hibs hitman McManus is expecting another tough test midweek having stressed the need for them to be clinical with any chance at goal they get against Rangers

McManus issued a warning to Hibernian that the Gers will press the life out of them at Ibrox on Wednesday although they still have a chance to spring a surprise and get a result.

“Hibs are in a rut and it needs to change against Rangers at Ibrox tomorrow night”, McManus wrote in his Daily Record column.

“They will need to be clinical as they won’t get many opportunities and it’ll be interesting to see if Maloney sticks with his philosophy of playing out from the back.

“Rangers will press the life out of them but this might be the game where there isn’t as much pressure on Hibs and they manage to take that one chance.

“Nobody expects them to get a result and then another massive game against Arbroath looms on Sunday.”

Rangers won both of their previous league games against Hibernian this season and will be determined to make it a hat-trick of wins on Wednesday.
