A product of the Celtic academy, Dembele had massive hype while he was coming through the ranks and made his debut for the club when he was only 16 in 2019.

However, he has not developed in the way Celtic would have hoped and he has made just three more senior appearances following his debut.

Dembele has struggled with an ankle injury this season, but he is getting minutes under Ange Postecoglou, making an appearance in a league and a cup game recently.

But it has been claimed that there is scepticism on both sides on whether he will be signing a new contract with the club.

His current deal expires at the end of the season and he could leave the club for a small compensation fee in the summer.

Karamoko is unsure whether he should stay at Celtic given the lack of opportunities he has encountered in recent seasons.

And Celtic also have reservations over offering a new deal to a player who has so far failed to live up to expectations.

Question marks over his discipline and application in training has continued to dog him at Celtic.
