The Whites want to sign a striker before the end of the transfer window but the club have been left worried about their lack of options at left-back.

Junior Firpo is set to miss the start of the season due to an injury and Jack Harrison has been deployed at left-back during pre-season.

Leeds have just sold Leif Davis to Ipswich Town and are now pushing to bring in a new left-back before the start of the season, with a move being made.

According to Italian outlet Tutto Mercato, Leeds have put in a bid to sign PSV Eindhoven’s left-back Max this summer.

The 28-year-old Germany international has been at PSV Eindhoven since 2020 and has been a regular starter for the club, making 91 appearances over the last two seasons.

Leeds admire Max and are now pushing to take him to Elland Road in the ongoing transfer window.

The Whites have tabled a bid worth €8m to test the water with PSV Eindhoven, who do not want to lose him.

He has two years left on his contract and it remains to be seen whether Leeds’ bid is good enough to convince PSV Eindhoven to cash in on Max.
