Gakpo has emerged as a player in-demand in the ongoing window as he has attracted significant interest from a host of Premier League clubs.
Top flight new boys Nottingham Forest want to sign the PSV starlet and have tabled an offer for him.
Manchester United, who were unsuccessful in their efforts to land Antony from Ajax, are now keen on Gakpo while Leeds also have him on their transfer radar as they seek another attacker.
It has been claimed that Gakpo’s representatives have got in touch with the Red Devils as they keep a close eye on him and that he prefers a move to Old Trafford over other potential destinations.
But according to Dutch daily the Eindhovens Dagblad, no Premier League club other than Nottingham Forest have made concrete moves to snare Gakpo away.
As it stands, the Tricky Trees are the only club to have made an offer for the 23-year-old.
Manchester United have not firmed up their interest, though Leeds did communicate theirs earlier this summer.
PSV are currently not keen on selling Gakpo as they are set for a Champions League playoff tie against Rangers.
Qualifying or the European competition could also convince Gakpo to remain at the club for at least one more season.
