The Tricky Trees have stayed busy throughout the ongoing transfer window and are set to make Morgan Gibbs-White their 16th signing.

Gibbs-White’s arrival will mean that Nottingham Forest boss Steve Cooper finally has his top attacking midfield targets at his disposal for their first season back in the Premier League.

Nottingham Forest saw Wolverhampton Wanderers knock back their initial bids for Gibbs-White, while they identified Lyon’s Houssem Aouar and Atalanta’s Malinovskyi as other potential attacking midfield targets.

The Nottinghamshire giants do not see Aouar as a priority any more as they close in on the Under-17 World Cup winner.

And according to Italian daily Corriere di Bergamo, Nottingham Forest are likely to have a cooled interest in a move for Malinovskyi, who is also a Tottenham target.

However, the Premier League new boys are still keen on snapping up another unnamed player from the Bergamo outfit.

Nottingham Forest have already added Remo Freuler to their ranks from Atalanta and it remains to be seen which among his former team-mates are they currently targeting.
