Mateta signed permanently for Crystal Palace last summer after impressing on loan for them in the latter half of the previous campaign.

However, the striker has not been able to nail down a spot in the starting line-up at Selhurst Park and he has mostly been used for second-half cameos.

Everton have been linked with a loan move for the former French youth international but they have competition for him.

Now, La Liga side Cadiz have also become interested in Mateta to improve their strike-force, according to Spanish outlet El Desmarque.

The Spanish club are contemplating whether to move for him but as of yet have not taken a final decision, with time ticking down until the deadline.

Cadiz are currently 18th in La Liga and want to add a striker to aid their fight for survival in Spain’s top tier.

Apart from Everton and Cadiz, the Crystal Palace striker has also been linked with Turkish giants Galatasaray, Spanish side Celta Vigo and French outfit Marseille.
