Dyche was appointed as the new Everton boss at the end of January, replacing Frank Lampard, with the task of keeping the Merseyside club in the Premier League.

Under former Burnley boss Everton have seen improvements in their performances and managed to pick up 12 points from their last ten games.

Garner revealed that Dyche is a straightforward person, which he prefers and stated that the manager has brought in some new ideas with him.

The midfielder also pointed out that results in recent matches make it evident that Everton are benefiting from Dyche’s methods and stated that his goal is now to impress the new boss to secure regular game time.

“I’ve come on the past two games and I’m just pushing now for that start and to help the team”, Garner told Everton’s official matchday programme.

“The new boss is a straight talker and I like that.

“He’s brought in some new ideas and a new way of playing, and I think you can see the benefits with the results we’ve been getting.”

“We’ve been going toe-to-toe with some of the best teams in the league.

“Last weekend at United was obviously a tough day, but overall, it’s been good.

“Now I am back, I think I am adapting well.

“It’s all about impressing him from here and trying to secure more minutes.”

Lampard signed Garner in the summer, but the player was out of action due to a back injury and since his recovery, he has made two substitute appearances for Everton in their recent games.
