Spurs have a battle on their hands to secure Champions League football for next season and have eight league games left to complete their work.

Stellini’s side have drawn two of their last three Premier League outings and may have little margin for error if they are to finish in the top four.

The Italian, who is in interim charge, feels the right path for Tottenham to take is to make sure they are playing attacking football in their remaining games.

Stellini told a press conference when asked about whether a top four finish is possible: “We could do.

“We have to play final eight games like eight finals.

“We started with Brighton and we have to play attacking football.”

Tottenham will again be able to call upon Richarlison, with Stellini admitting that the Brazilian has returned to training, but will need to be handled with care.

“We have only Richy with one week training with us.

“Only Richy completely back and we recover him.

“The other players they start to work but work alone so they are not available.

“We have to take care with him [Richarlison] to give him training and the right time to play. Don’t take risks.”

Spurs are due to play host to Bournemouth, who are fighting for survival, at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium this weekend.
