The Toffees are on the verge of signing the winger on a season-long loan from the Spanish club this summer.

Everton have agreed to pay a loan fee of €4m and assume the player’s full salary on their wage bill for next season.

Danjuma is scheduled to undergo a medical today at Everton and sign a one-year loan contract.

According to Spanish outlet Relevo, Villarreal wanted an option to buy included in the deal for the winger’s loan move to Everton.

They pushed Everton to include the buy option during negotiations but the fee offered by the Merseyside outfit was low.

As such, Villarreal decided to give up on their demand and agreed to let Danjuma move to Everton on a simple loan deal.

The Spanish club are hopeful that the winger does enough at Everton to increase his value for a move next year.
