Gers boss Michael Beale is desperate to take Danilo to Ibrox and the player is also fully prepared to make the move.

Agreeing a fee with Feyenoord for the Brazilian, a player they are reluctant to lose, has been tough and Rangers have already had three bids rejected.

Now they have come back with a fresh offer and, according to Dutch daily the Algemeen Dagblad, it is close to Feyenoord’s asking price.

The bid on the table could go above €6m for Danilo and it is claimed the switch is now likely close to happening.

Danilo is not a first choice at Feyenoord and the club have already started to look for a replacement.

Feyenoord are keen on Pierre van Hooijdonk’s son, Sydney, who is on the books at Italian club Bologna.

At Ibrox, Beale has looked towards Sam Lammers and Cyriel Dessers to bolster his attacking options, but Danilo could now be set to join them.
