Lo Celso, 27, joined Spurs from Real Betis in 2020 but has yet to establish himself as a midfield cornerstone at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium.
The Argentine spent last season on loan at Villareal and despite being afflicted with injury, he helped the La Liga side secure a European spot for next season.
The midfielder has been subject to Real Betis’ interest in the ongoing transfer window and it has been said that the player could leave the north London outfit this summer.
But contrary to the claims, it is now suggested that the Argentine will not exert himself to make a move away from the Lilywhites for the time being, according to Spanish outlet Muchodeporte.
It is also suggested that Tottenham’s new manager Ange Postecoglou has become an admirer of the Argentine and the midfielder has also grown fond of the playing style brought in by the Spurs boss.
The Lilywhites are now undergoing a process to reorganise their ranks in the ongoing transfer window, with the London side looking to improve upon last term’s lacklustre displays.
With Lo Celso showing no intention of forcing a move away from Spurs, it remains to be seen whether he will be able to fit the bill under the tutelage of Postecoglou going forward.
