Sean Dyche is working to add to his attacking options following a season where Everton found scoring goals tough.

He has already drafted in attacker Arnaut Danjuma on a loan deal from Villarreal and is now turning to Sporting Lisbon for another recruit.

Everton have held talks with the Portuguese side to land striker Chermiti and have a verbal agreement in place.

Now the Premier League outfit will try to press the accelerator on the deal in order to bring the hitman to Goodison Park.

Chermiti, who is just 19 years old, came through the youth ranks at Sporting Lisbon and only made his senior debut for the club earlier this year.

Despite his limited game time, Everton have seen enough of Chermiti to know they want him on Merseyside.

It remains to be seen what level of fee the Toffees have agreed to pay for the Portugal Under-19 international and whether their faith in his potential is well founded.
