Enzo Maresca Key To Leicester City’s Impending Capture Of Talent

Leicester City are close to agreeing a season-long loan with Chelsea for Cesare Casadei and Enzo Maresca is key to the deal happening, according to Italian journalist Fabrizio Romano.

The 20-year-old midfielder joined Chelsea last summer from Inter Milan and the Blues sent him out on loan to Reading in January.

Casadei managed 15 league appearances for Reading last season and Chelsea want to send him on loan for another season.

Leicester have seen several players leave this summer and want to take Casadei on loan to strengthen their midfield.

Casadei has several suitors in the Championship and Serie A outfit Genoa are also keen on the player.

However, Leicester are closing in on an agreement to take Casadei on loan and the deal is in the final stages.

It has been claimed that Leicester boss Maresca has played a key part in the deal.

Now it remains to be seen whether Casadei will be able to seal his move before the Foxes next game in the Championship on Saturday.
