The Hammers have already lost talisman Declan Rice this summer and are reluctant to also lose Paqueta.
The Brazilian is wanted by Manchester City however and the Cityzens have already seen one bid turned down by West Ham.
Pep Guardiola’s side are not giving up and are holding fresh talks with West Ham, but the Hammers believe they are offering too little.
It has been claimed that West Ham want around the £100m mark in order to let Paqueta move on.
They could be running up against the player’s will though.
Paqueta is unsettled amid Manchester City’s interest and is likely to want to answer the call from the Etihad this summer.
The midfielder played in West Ham’s Premier League opener against Bournemouth and clocked the full 90 minutes.
He joined the Hammers from Lyon and has a further four years left to run on his contract at the London Stadium.
