Kaba impressed during a loan spell with Cardiff City in the second half of the season, which helped the Bluebirds avoid relegation.

The 28-year-old has been the centre of attraction for several Championship outfits, with Birmingham City, Leeds United and Watford interested in his signature.

John Eustace’s side are keen on bringing in an experienced forward this summer as they want to strengthen their promotion hopes.

Birmingham City agreed to a fee for Kaba with Midtjylland, beating Leeds and Watford in the race for his signature.

However, Spanish side Las Palmas came in late to agree a deal with the Danish side and convinced Kaba to snub Birmingham City

It has been suggested that Las Palmas agreed to pay a fee in the region of €1.5m with €500,000 in bonuses.

The player has now completed his move to Las Palmas, agreeing to a four-year contract.
