Rhodes is a player that Blackpool want and Huddersfield are looking to move on someone who does not feature in Neil Warnock’s plans.

It emerged earlier today that the Terriers had accepted a bid from Blackpool for Rhodes, who would talk personal terms with the League One club.

The situation is now rapidly developing and Rhodes is due to undergo a medical in Manchester.

Blackpool appear to be well on the way to wrapping up the arrival of the striker.

Rhodes, a former Scotland international, is a proven goalscorer at League One level, plundering no fewer than 70 goals in the division.

Blackpool believe that Rhodes can once again terrorise League One defences.

He last turned out in League One in the 2011/12 campaign, where he netted 36 times in 40 outings.

Rhodes has played at all four levels of the league system.
