Steve Cooper is keen on strengthening his backline before the end of the summer transfer window.

And Nottingham Forest have their eyes set on Corinthians’ 21-year-old centre-back Murillo.

Nottingham Forest have already submitted a bid for the centre-back worth £13m with add-ons.

And according to Brazilian broadcaster TNT, Nottingham Forest are closing in on sealing the deal for Murillo.

The Tricky Trees are currently working with the Brazilian outfit to sort out the final details of the deal.

Murillo is a product of Corinthians’ academy set-up and has made 13 league appearances this season while racking up three cautions.

The young defender is very highly rated at Corinthians and has two more years left on his contract with the Brazilian outfit.

Nottingham Forest have already established contact with the player’s representatives and they will be hoping to complete the deal quickly.
