Michut had a spell on loan at Sunderland last season, but both the player and club agreed the permanent option to keep him at the Stadium of Light would not be triggered.
As the deadline approaches, Michut’s future is still uncertain and Sunderland have been courting him for a return, according to French radio station RMC.
The Black Cats face substantial competition though.
Clubs from Turkey, Switzerland and Belgium have been making enquiries about the midfielder and signalling their intention to sign him.
It is however not impossible that Michut will end up staying at PSG.
Even if Michut does not move today, he could move at a later date, with some transfer windows, notably in Turkey, being open for longer.
Michut made a total of 28 appearances for Sunderland during his time on loan at the north east club.
