After making a slow start to the season, Leeds have picked up pace over the last few weeks and are now sitting fifth in the Championship table.
Leeds have won five of their opening eleven games and while Leicester and Ipswich have made blistering starts to occupy the automatic promotion spots, the Whites are one of the favourites to be in the playoffs.
Byram insisted that given the quality of the squad, Leeds definitely have it in them to get promoted straight back up to the Premier League.
However, he is aware of the volatile nature of the Championship and insisted that Leeds are not taking anything for granted and will continue to focus on their process and methods to get results.
The Whites star said on the Official Leeds United Podcast: “We know we have got a strong squad for this league.
“The Championship is such a difficult league and obviously the goal is promotion and the expectation around that.
“But we are not underestimating the task ahead.
“You see some crazy results in the Championship every week, but we need to keep doing our principles, sticking to what we believe in and hopefully the results will follow and we will be successful at the end.”
Leeds will return from the international break with a trip to Carrow Road to take on Norwich City on Saturday, 21st October.
