Celtic are without a point from their opening two Champions League games and are in desperate need of something ahead of hosting the Spanish giants at Parkhead.

Brendan Rodgers has been keen to improve Celtic’s recent European record but they have again looked disappointing in the Champions League this season.

They are hopeful of getting something tonight to kickstart their European campaign but Dalziel stressed that their biggest weakness right now is their defensive frailties.

He insisted that Celtic look like a team right now that will always concede a goal and they are unlikely to get away with that when they take on Atletico Madrid tonight at home.

Dalziel said on Clyde 1’s Superscoreboard: “I think Celtic will give you a goal.

“They look like just now that they will always give up a goal.

“If they do that tomorrow night [tonight] against this quality then they are going to pick up nothing.

“It’s important that at the back, they have got to defend very well.”

Celtic are coming into the game on the back of a 4-1 win over Hearts at Tynecastle last weekend.
