The 22-year-old forward has been a bit part player at Celtic under Brendan Rodgers and has largely been used from the bench.

He only received his second league start of the season against Hibernian this week and he grabbed the opportunity by scoring two goals at Celtic Park in a 4-1 win for Celtic.

Dalziel conceded that it has been difficult for Oh this season as most of his game time has come from the bench and he always believed that the forward has the tools to do well at Celtic.

He stressed that the South Korean has the talent to do well at Celtic if he gets the opportunities and the two goals should boost his confidence.

Dalziel said on Clyde 1’s Superscoreboard: “Most of his game time has been off the bench, he had to come on and try and change some things.

“I thought up at McDiarmid Park he was excellent when he came on and with the fact that everybody is talking about, we need back up to Kyogo, we need someone with that quality to come on and be the same and I have said it from day one, I don’t know what it is but there is something about this boy I like.

“I think he has got a lot in his locker and he just needs an opportunity and he got it last night.

“He scores two and does his confidence a world of good.”

It remains to be seen whether Oh starts when Celtic travel to Kilmarnock on Sunday looking for another three Scottish Premiership points.
