The Champions League game between Celtic and Feyenoord at Parkhead tonight is a dead rubber as both teams are aware of their fate.

Celtic are set to crash out of Europe after another disappointing Champions League campaign and Feyenoord will be in the knockout rounds of the Europa League regardless of the result.

However, Slot insisted that his players will still feel an incredible amount of excitement when they come out of the tunnel and walk into a packed Celtic Park tonight.

He stressed that if a player cannot get excited about playing in such an atmosphere then there is a problem.

The Feyenoord coach told a press conference: “These players will be incredibly excited about playing football at Celtic Park when they come through that tunnel, which I just came through during the last training session.

“If you don’t feel like that then there is something seriously wrong with you.

“And especially, when they see the stadium, they will be going into, is completely full.”

Brendan Rodgers is keen to see his Celtic side get a win before ending their European campaign tonight at home.
