Liverpool, Everton and Tottenham Hotspur scouted Peterborough United defender Ronnie Edwards during their weekend’s fixture against Fleetwood Town, according to journalist Ekrem Konur.

The 20-year-old centre-back is highly rated at Peterborough United and has been putting in star displays at London Road.

Last season, Edwards played a key role in Posh’s defence to take them to the League One playoff semi-final.

This season, Edwards has helped Peterborough keep ten clean sheets out of the 22 league games so far.

His performances have attracted attention from Premier League outfits Liverpool, Everton and Tottenham.

And it has been claimed that Liverpool, Everton and Spurs scouts were present at the Posh’s game against Fleetwood Town to scout the 20-year-old; Arsenal and West Ham also watched him.

In the summer transfer window, another Premier League outfit, West Ham, were keen on signing Edwards but failed to bring him to the London Stadium.

Edwards has a contract with Peterborough that expires at the end of June 2025 and it remains to be seen whether Ferguson’s side will let the youngster leave in the winter transfer window.
