Newcastle United target Serhou Guirassy is in favour of a move to join AC Milan but has yet to agree a salary with the Italian giants.

The 27-year-old Stuttgart striker has been in excellent form this season and is attracting suitors all across Europe.

Newcastle are one of the suitors for Guirassy’s signature in the winter transfer window, as Eddie Howe wants to add more firepower to the Magpies forward department.

Guirassy has a €17.5m release clause in his contract and Italian outfit AC Milan are also in talks with the forward’s entourage over a potential transfer.

However, while the striker is open to a move to Stuttgart, there is an issue in terms of his wage demands, according to Italian outlet Calciomercato.com.

AC Milan have yet to find an agreement over Guirassy’s salary and work remains to be done.

Despite interest from a host of clubs in the hitman, the Rossoneri are determined to do all they can to win the race for Guirassy’s signature.

Guirassy has scored 17 goals in his last 14 league appearances and it remains to be seen whether Newcastle will be able to convince the forward to join them in the winter.
