Southampton target Amad Diallo is on Ipswich Town’s wish list for the rapidly approaching January transfer window, according to the Sunday Mirror.
The 21-year-old winger spent last season on loan with Sunderland in the Championship and his performances for the Black Cats turned heads.
Diallo is currently out of action due to an injury he picked up in pre-season and is set to return in January.
Russell Martin’s Southampton are showing interest in taking him to St. Mary’s in the winter transfer window, as they bid for promotion.
And it has been claimed that Southampton’s fellow promotion rivals, Ipswich, have Manchester United winger Diallo on their radar as well.
Ipswich recently ended Tottenham Hotspur star Dane Scarlett’s loan spell at Portman Road and after George Hirst was ruled out with a long-term injury, Ipswich are in the market for a forward.
It has been suggested that the Tractor Boys have stepped up their search for a forward and Kieran McKenna, who worked with Diallo during his time at Manchester United, considers the winger a solution.
Diallo is likely to want to make sure he is playing regular first team football at any side he might join in the January transfer window.
