Charlton Athletic are closing in on Bristol Rovers target Jonson Clarke-Harris and look set to splash the cash to get him, according to the Sunday Mirror.
Clarke-Harris is expected to move on from Peterborough United this month, despite heroics against Barnsley recently when he scored twice in a 2-2 draw.
The striker’s former club Bristol Rovers have been looking to snap him up, but a return to the Mem looks unlikely.
It is Charlton who stand ready to sign Clarke-Harris and they are moving closer to sealing the deal.
The Addicks are expected to splash around £450,000 to take the striker to the Valley.
Clarke-Harris has been prolific at League One level and has over 100 goals in the league to his name.
Charlton played out a 3-3 draw away at Port Vale on Saturday afternoon and want a spark to push them up the league table.
The Addicks currently sit in 13th spot in the standings and are already 13 points off the final playoff spot, held by Barnsley.
