Celtic have permitted Bologna to hold talks with 18-year-old winger Rocco Vata, it has been claimed in Italy.
The 18-year-old has been playing for the Celtic reserves in the Lowland League in Scotland this season.
He has 12 goals in 13 league appearances and his performances have piqued the interest of clubs in Europe.
He has made four senior appearances for Celtic but now could be on his way out of the club in January due to interest from Bologna.
According to Italian broadcaster Sky Italia, Bologna have Celtic’s consent to hold talks over a transfer with Vata.
The Serie A club are keen to get their hands on the winger and will now hope to convince him to move to Italy.
He has a contract until the summer with Celtic and Bologna will have to agree on a fee with the Scottish champions.
But it seems Celtic are prepared to cash in on Vata if Bologna can reach an agreement with the player and his representatives.
Vata has represented Ireland in youth football and has scored twice in one appearance for their Under-21s.
