The Owls have set their sights on former Chelsea star Ugbo, who is on loan at Cardiff City from French outfit Troyes.
25-year-old centre forward Ugbo has made 20 appearances for Cardiff City this season, scoring four times for the Bluebirds.
It has been claimed that the Owls are progressing in their attempt to agree a deal with Troyes to take Ugbo on loan for the rest of the season.
Ugbo is a product of the Chelsea academy system and joined Troyes in the winter of 2022.
