Arnaut Danjuma could still stay put at Everton if he is offered regular minutes in the latter half of the season, despite interest from Lyon, according to the Daily Mirror.

Everton signed the Dutch winger from Villarreal in the summer on a season-long loan but he has been little more than a bit-part player on Merseyside.

Danjuma is keen to cut short his loan stay at Everton and opt for another club in the winter window in search of regular first-team football.

Lyon are in talks with Villarreal over getting a loan deal done to sign him in January as part of their plans.

However, it has been claimed that the possibility of Danjuma staying on at Everton has not been ruled out.

The winger is reportedly on track to cut short his loan stay at Everton but he could still stay put.

Danjuma could be open to staying on Merseyside beyond the winter window if he is promised regular minutes.

He wants to be in the Netherlands squad for the European Championship and is desperate for regular football.

It remains to be seen whether Sean Dyche can convince the player to stay put at Everton.
