Sheffield Wednesday are confident that loanee Devis Vasquez will return to AC Milan in the winter transfer window, according to the Star.
Former Owls boss Xisco Munoz signed the 25-year-old goalkeeper on a season-long loan in the summer.
Vasquez featured regularly under Munoz but has fallen down the pecking order under new boss Danny Rohl.
The Sheffield Wednesday boss has restored Cameron Dawson under the sticks as first choice and Vasquez has yet to feature under Rohl.
Sheffield Wednesday are in talks with AC Milan to terminate Vasquez’s loan deal to free up a loan spot.
And it has been claimed that the Owls are confident that they will reach a solution with AC Milan to send him back, with the Rossoneri looking at a new loan destination.
Under Rohl, the Hillsborough outfit have turned their form around and sparked hopes of survival in the Championship.
Sheffield Wednesday have been active in the ongoing window and have been linked with several players.
Sending Vasquez back would make room in the squad for a fresh face.
