Talk that AFC Wimbledon are set to snap up Lyle Taylor in the ongoing transfer window is wide of the mark for now, according to the South London Press.

The 33-year-old striker joined Wycombe in November on a free transfer and has made seven appearances in League One this season.

He is yet to get on the scoresheet in the ongoing campaign and has been a bit part player at the League One side so far.

There are suggestions that he could be moved on in January and the forward has been linked with a return to former club AFC Wimbledon.

But it has been claimed that the striker is not set to return to AFC Wimbledon at present.

The League Two side are not close to landing Taylor at the moment.

Taylor is remembered fondly at the London club where he scored 55 times in 150 appearances.

But for the moment, he is not a target for the League Two side despite the rumours of a potential return.
