Celtic have not yet booked in Nicolas Kuhn for a medical, but are pushing hard to take him to Celtic Park, according to Football Scotland.

The Rapid Vienna winger is expected to swap Austrian football for the Scottish game during this month’s transfer window.

Celtic look to be his destination with Bhoys boss Brendan Rodgers claimed to have played a key role in convincing Kuhn.

There have been suggestions that Celtic want to put Kuhn through a medical this weekend, but that is wide of the mark.

While Celtic are pushing hard to wrap up the deal, they have not booked a medical for the 24-year-old yet.

There remain details that need to be agreed between Rapid Vienna and Celtic, and the Scottish champions will not make medical arrangements until they are resolved.

Kuhn has made 16 appearances in the Austrian Bundesliga this season, scoring twice and providing five assists.

The German winger spent time in the second teams at Bayern Munich and Ajax earlier in his career.
