Crystal Palace have alternatives lined up if they do not end up signing Genk right-back Daniel Munoz, according to journalist Alan Nixon.

The south London club are looking to bring in reinforcements for their squad ahead of the end of the window.

Palace want a new right-back in their squad and they have been looking at several players ahead of trying to secure a deal for a player.

Munoz has emerged as the top target and Crystal Palace have made moves to potentially take the Genk man to Selhurst Park.

However, it has been claimed that Palace have also lined up potential alternative targets to Munoz as well.

Crystal Palace do not want to end up overpaying for a player who turns 28 in May and are keen to do a cost-effective deal.

The club are prepared to walk away from negotiations if Genk demand an unreasonable fee for the defender.

The Eagles are working on alternative targets if they fail to work out an agreement for the Colombian defender.
