The potential arrival of a new left-back at Rangers in the ongoing window could depend on Ridvan Yilmaz’s future at Ibrox, according to Football Scotland.

The Turkish defender has failed to impress Rangers boss Philippe Clement so far and the new Gers manager  wants to bring in a new left-back.

Rangers have been linked with several players, with Hellas Verona’s Josh Doig being one of them.

Yilmaz is also attracting interest from Turkish and Serie A outfits in the ongoing window.

Rangers have also turned down a bid from Galatasaray, which contained a loan with an option to buy him in the summer.

Serie A outfit Hellas Verona are also admirers of the 22-year-old’s talents and Torino are also interested in him.

It has been claimed that Yilmaz’ future at Rangers could prove crucial in any potential left-back incoming at Ibrox.

Rangers have Borna Barisic as their first choice left-back, but if Yilmaz goes are likely to want a left-back in through the door.

Yilmaz has featured 13 times in the league for Rangers in the ongoing season and has racked up one caution in the process.
