Rangers are keen on Nottingham Forest defender Scott McKenna but are yet to make a formal approach for him, according to the Daily Mirror.

Gers boss Philippe Clement is in the market for reinforcements this month and has already snapped up Fabio Silva on loan from Wolves.

Clement has admitted he does expect more fresh faces to arrive at Ibrox before the window slams shut.

Forest defender McKenna is surplus to requirements at the City Ground and the Premier League side want to ship players out.

Rangers do hold an interest in McKenna, however they are yet to make a formal approach for him.

McKenna came through the youth set-up at Aberdeen and a move back north of the border might be one which appeals to the 27-year-old.

The centre-back has made five appearances in the Premier League for Nottingham Forest his season.

He last featured through in September, in a 1-1 draw with Burnley at the City Ground and has been frozen out since then.
