Celtic are prioritising signing a striker next in the ongoing transfer window after getting their hands on Nicolas Kuhn, according to the Daily Record.

The Bhoys confirmed the acquisition of the winger from Austrian side Rapid Vienna earlier in the week, making him put pen-to-paper on a five-and-a-half year deal.

With the winger now hoping to earn his Celtic debut this weekend in the Scottish Cup against Buckie Thistle the focus has shifted elsewhere.

Celtic have now made signing a new striker their priority as they hope to give themselves the best possible chance to win the league.

Brendan Rodgers has shown keen interest in Leeds United attacker Joe Gelhradt, who has been tipped to exit Elland Road this month.

The 21-year-old has not been a key part of Daniel Farke’s team this campaign featuring in just six Championship games so far.

It remains to be seen though whether Gelhardt is the only attacker Rodgers targets or whether he has other options in mind.

The goalkeeping position and the full-back position are also being looked at, but the need for a striker is greater.
