Rangers have decided they want to arrange another loan for Alex Lowry following the end of his spell at Hearts, according to the BBC.

Lowry is rated very highly at Ibrox and Rangers settled on a loan move to Hearts for him last summer.

The attacking midfielder did get game time at Hearts, but it was sporadic and he featured just twice for the Jambos in their last six Scottish Premiership games.

He has now headed back to Ibrox, but Rangers have already made a transfer decision on the midfielder.

The Gers intend to arrange a new loan for Lowry before the transfer window closes this month.

They are aware that if Lowry stays at Ibrox then his game time will be limited and are keen for him to be playing on a regular basis.

It is unclear if Rangers already have a specific destination in mind for Lowry.

The 20-year-old has made 14 appearances for Rangers so far, while he provided two assists in the Scottish Premiership during his Hearts loan, against Ross County and Hibernian.
