Rangers are prepared to let starlet Arron Lyall head out on loan this month, amid Airdrieonians trying to snap him up, according to the Daily Record.

The Ibrox outfit rate the midfielder highly, but believe that he needs to be clocking regular first team football in a competitive environment to help him develop.

Gers boss Philippe Clement is happy for Lyall to depart on a temporary move this month and the player is not short of interest.

At present it is Scottish Championship side Airdrie who are looking to push a loan deal over the line.

The club are due to take on St Johnstone in the Scottish Cup this weekend and had been eyeing having Lyall for that fixture.

Airdrie recently lost the services of Kanayo Megwa, who has been called back from his loan spell by Scottish Premiership side Hibernian.

Lyall has had a loan spell away from Rangers before, with time spent in the Highlands at Inverness Caledonian Thistle.

The midfielder has progressed through the youth ranks at Rangers and will be eager to cut his teeth soon.
