West Ham United are in talks to discuss a deal to sign Crystal Palace and Newcastle United target Kalvin Phillips on loan, according to Sky Sports News.

Phillips is keen to leave Manchester City this month to play more football ahead of next summer’s European Championship.

Manchester City’s financial demands have so far proven to be a deterrent but the Premier League champions are reportedly willing to work out a deal that would suit all parties.

Newcastle are not willing to match Manchester City’s demand for a hefty loan fee and Crystal Palace are also considering signing the midfielder.

West Ham are amongst the clubs chasing Phillips and it has been claimed that talks are under way to try and sort out a loan deal.

David Moyes wants to take the midfielder to the London Stadium on a loan deal until the end of the season.

Discussions are ongoing and West Ham hope to strike a deal with Manchester City this month.

Phillips also has suitors abroad with Barcelona believed to be also interested in signing him.

However, he is likely to prefer a move within England if he guarantees over regular minutes.
