Leeds United target Ben Johnson is willing to see out the rest of his contract at West Ham United until the end of the season, according to The Athletic.

The 24-year-old defender will be out of contract in the summer and he has already rejected two offers of a new deal from the Hammers.

Leeds are interested in snapping up the defender this month and Crystal Palace also have their eyes on the Hammers star.

West Ham are hoping to start negotiations over a new deal again but for the moment, it seems unlikely that he will leave before next Thursday’s transfer deadline.

It has been claimed that Johnson is willing to see out his contract at West Ham if a new deal does not get agreed upon.

Leeds are keen on him but Johnson would prefer to continue playing in the Premier League.

The defender wants to play more football and believes he has done enough in the limited opportunities he has received this season.

However, for the moment, he is unwilling to drop down to the Championship despite interest from Leeds.
