Rangers are trying to find a loan move to offload Jose Cifuentes in the ongoing window, according to journalist Alan Nixon.

Former Gers boss Michael Beale brought in the 24-year-old midfielder from MLS outfit Los Angeles FC in the summer.

Cifuentes failed to impress new boss Philippe Clement and has started only three league games under him.

Rangers have been active in the ongoing window and they are still in the market for additions.

It has been claimed that Clement wants to offload the out-of-favor midfielder from Rangers’ wage bill.

And Rangers are actively trying to find Cifuentes a loan out of Ibrox in the ongoing window.

The Ecuador international last featured in Rangers’ game against Real Betis in December and has so far racked up 20 appearances for the Gers.

Now all eyes will be on Rangers to see whether they will be able to move Cifuentes out of the club in the ongoing window.
