Southampton midfielder Carlos Alcaraz will undergo a medical in London before flying out to Italy to complete a move to Juventus.

Alcaraz has been in and out of the Southampton team this season and has made 13 starts in the Championship.

The midfielder is now on the cusp of moving on from Saints and is set to spend the rest of the season in Italy.

Juventus have made a late move to sign the midfielder on loan from Southampton with an option to buy.

And it seems an agreement between the two clubs is close as Alcaraz has also been booked for a medical in London, according to Italian journalist Simone Togna.

Juventus’ medical team will put him through his paces in the English capital soon, as Juventus finalise the terms of a deal with Southampton.

Once everything is sorted out, the midfielder will fly out to Turin to complete a move to the Serie A giants.

It remains to be seen whether Southampton seek to sign a replacement for Alcaraz before Thursday’s transfer deadline.
