Tottenham Hotspur winger Bryan Gil is now set to stay at the club beyond the closure of the winter transfer window, according to the Daily Express.

Gil is struggling for regular game time at Tottenham and several clubs have been showing loan interest in him.

On deadline day it appeared the Spanish winger could be set to make a loan move to sign for Brighton.

However, Gil has struggled to be convinced and he is now set to remain at Tottenham rather than heading elsewhere.

The winger will knuckle down and try to convince Ange Postecoglou to give him game time.

Gil has been involved in nine Premier League matches for Spurs so far this season.

However, those outings have only spanned the grand total of 185 minutes of football.

Gil though is not convinced about the merits of leaving Tottenham in this month’s window.
