Tottenham Hotspur target Albert Gudmundsson has remained coy about his future at Genoa but stressed that he is enjoying his football at the moment.

Genoa managed to hold on to the attacker in January despite some late interest from Fiorentina who were pushing to sign him, while there were also Premier League clubs keen.

The Iceland attacker is almost certain to leave Genoa in the summer with the Italian club identifying a replacement for him.

Tottenham are amongst the clubs who are interested in him and Inter Milan are also working hard behind the scenes to raise funds to make a move for Gudmundsson in the next window.

However, the player remained coy about his future while insisting that will remain forever grateful for what he received at Genoa.

The attacker stressed that he is focussing on each game as it comes and is enjoying his football at Genoa at the moment.

Gudmundsson told Il Secolo XIX (via Calciomercato.com): “I will forever be grateful and proud to play here.

“I continue to think about match after match.

“I am enjoying every moment on the pitch trying to make the fans have fun too.”

Genoa are likely to demand between €30m to €35m for Gudmundsson, who has scored 13 times in all competitions this season.
