Trabzonspor president Ertugrul Dogan has revealed that Southampton are not interested in loaning Paul Onuachu again and have slapped a €15m price tag on the striker.
Onuachu joined Trabzonspor on loan from Southampton last summer and he is having an impressive season with the Turkish outfit.
The 29-year-old wants to stay at Trabzonspor into next season and has been expecting the two clubs to reach an agreement to make it happen.
Trabzonspor want to loan in the Southampton forward for another season, but Dogun revealed that the English outfit want a permanent deal for Onuachu.
The Trabzonspor president also added that Southampton have demanded a €15m transfer fee to let the Turkish outfit keep the Nigerian international at their club.
“They [Southampton] want €15m for Onuachu to stay”, Dogun said on Turkish radio station TRT (via A Spor).
“They are not interested in loaning him.”
Trabzonspor will be working to try to find an agreement with Southampton, while it has been claimed that Onuachu could be sent to Saints’ sister club in Turkey, Goztepe.
It is suggested that the future of the Southampton loanee will become clearer after Trabzonspor’s Turkish Cup final against Besiktas on 23rd May.
