Coventry City have ‘backed away’ from plans to sign Huddersfield Town midfielder Jack Rudoni, according to journalist Alan Nixon.

Rudoni is a player who has been linked with a move away from Huddersfield this summer following the side’s relegation out of the Championship.

The Terriers though are not going to make it easy for interested clubs and Coventry have found out first hand.

Coventry have learned that Huddersfield want £10m for Rudoni this summer.

Mark Robins views Rudoni as the perfect man to replace Callum O’Hare, but the price tag has scuppered his hopes.

Coventry have now ‘backed away’ from the idea of signing Rudoni and are looking at other options.

Rudoni, 22, made 35 appearances for Huddersfield over the course of their Championship campaign and was booked eight times.

One of Rudoni’s bookings came in a 1-1 draw at Coventry, a game which gave Robins an up close look at him.
