Leicester City are confident that they can convince West Ham target Reiss Nelson if they can work out an agreement with Arsenal, according to Italian journalist Fabrizio Romano.

The winger has three years left on his contract but was nothing more than a bit-part player at Arsenal last season.

West Ham are interested in taking him to the London Stadium and Nelson has informed the Gunners that he wants to join their London rivals.

However, Leicester have joined the race to sign the player and have opened negotiations with Arsenal for Nelson.

His preference is to join West Ham, but Leicester City are not worried about that aspect at this moment in time.

The Foxes are convinced that they can sell a move to the King Power Stadium to the 24-year-old if they can work out a deal with the Gunners.

Leicester are banking on Steve Cooper convincing the player as he worked with Nelson previously.

For the moment, Arsenal are yet to agree on a fee to sell Nelson but West Ham and Leicester are pushing to sign him.
