Tottenham Hotspur are finalising the paperwork for one of their players to depart to La Liga on a loan move, according to Italian journalist Fabrizio Romano.
Spurs boss Ange Postecoglou has successfully moved on a host of fringe players so far this summer and the club are expected to focus on making signings soon, with Bournemouth striker Dominic Solanke a target.
More players could leave however and Tottenham are ready to send striker Alejo Veliz on loan to Espanyol in La Liga.
The deal is significantly advanced enough that Tottenham are now finalising the paperwork of the loan.
Espanyol will not have any option to buy Veliz included in the loan agreement.
It had been claimed that Veliz was set to move to Southampton on loan, but that talk proved wide of the mark.
Instead Tottenham feel a season in Spain at Espanyol fits the bill for the young striker.
They will be looking for Veliz, who spent the second half of last term on loan at Sevilla, to play on a regular basis at Espanyol ahead of then returning next summer.
