Fulham have decided to match Manchester United’s asking price for Scotland midfielder Scott McTominay, who is also a target for Napoli.

The Cottagers failed with a couple of offers for the midfielder earlier in the transfer window but reopened talks with Manchester United over the weekend.

Manchester United have been holding out for somewhere around €30m before they can agree to sell the Scotland international this summer.

Napoli have also been pushing to sign him but can only afford to sign him on loan in the ongoing transfer window.

According to Italian broadcaster Rai (via TuttoNapoli), Fulham have gone ahead and matched Manchester United’s asking price for McTominay.

It has been claimed that they have offered a deal worth €30m to try and take the midfielder to Craven Cottage.

McTominay has been prioritising a move to Napoli as he wants to work under Antonio Conte.

Napoli are reportedly getting ready to press the accelerator in talks with Manchester United but are now facing the threat of losing out to Fulham in the race to sign the Scot.
